July Activities

This past weekend we attended the Bountiful Handcart Day's parade and fair. Belle had fun riding the ponies and other carnival rides. Alison and Rich ran Handcart Day's 5k. Rich finished 3rd and Alison finished 5th in the 25-30 year old male bracket. We don't know why Ali was put into the male bracket but she did fine and would have finished 3rd in the women's.

Belle looked all to natural swinging a sword at the parade this weekend. She was able to fight with her cousin Easton and friend Richie. They also had a good time collecting candy.

This year Ali and Katie woke up at 5:00 am to reserve a curb-side view at the Handcart Day's Parade in Bountiful. Emmy was thankful when the shade from the surrounding trees finally cooled things down a little. We all had a good time this year.

This is a picture of Belle at the Handcart Day's parade in Bountiful on the 24th of July. It was 100+ degrees but Belle kept cool with a misting fan and her sunglasses.

Here is a picture of our little girls in front of our garden in a couple of their summer dresses. This year we planted plenty of beens, tomatoes, corn, squash, cucumbers, onions and zucchini.

Emmy is growing up so fast, she enjoys playing with Belle and is very easy going.

Belle is having fun this summer playing with water balloons, swinging, swimming, walking Abby and teasing her little sister.

Fall Break

Last week we went to California for fall break.  Belle loves disneyland, as do we.  The weather was nice and we were able to relax and recharge ourselves for the upcoming holidays.  We are going back with the entire McGarvey clam in a couple of weeks.  It will be fun to watch Belle and Easton on all the rides together.  

Temple Square

We took Belle down to temple square last week.  She enjoyed the fountain and flowers.

Belle's 1st Haircut

Belle's hair was getting a little shaggy so I finally gave in and we took her to get it cut.  She loved every minute of it and thought that it was the best thing ever.
